Luís Alberto Maguito Vilela nasceu em Jataí, em 24 de janeiro de 1949, filho de Joaquim Vilela e Nazime Moraes Vilela.<\/p>\n
Foi vereador em Jataí, deputado estadual (1983-1987), deputado federal constituinte (1987-1991), e vice-governador de Goiás (1991-1994).<\/p>\n
Foi governador de Goiás, de 1 de janeiro de 1995 a 2 de abril de 1998. Eleito senador em 1998, cumpriu mandato até 2006. Foi candidato pelo PMDB de Goiás ao governo do estado em 2002, e novamente em 2006.<\/p>\n
Foi nomeado pelo ministro da fazenda Guido Mantega, vice-presidente do Banco do Brasil em 2007.<\/p>\n
Em 2008, foi eleito prefeito de Aparecida de Goiânia. Em 2012, foi reeleito. Foi cotado novamente para a disputa ao governo de Goiás em 2014.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
