A localiza\u00e7\u00e3o do cad\u00e1ver ocorreu depois da pris\u00e3o tempor\u00e1ria de dois suspeitos, no dia 19 de agosto. Um dos presos forneceu a localiza\u00e7\u00e3o do corpo. O delegado respons\u00e1vel pelo caso, Gustavo Ferreira, requisitou o exame cadav\u00e9rico ao IML.
