Em 2009, o Instituto Brasileiro do Meio Ambiente e dos Recursos Naturais Renov\u00e1veis (Ibama) constatou que algumas faixas de terras em \u00e1reas de preserva\u00e7\u00e3o permanente haviam sido usadas no plantio de cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar. Desde ent\u00e3o, as \u00e1reas foram embargadas.
